Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for competitive analysis. This will incorporate independent detailed, accurate, and timely qualitative and quantitative analysis into the strategic and competitive Residential Energy landscape and translate into concise, compelling documents
• Obtain primary and secondary residential energy market and competitive intelligence
• Distribute competitor intelligence of both tactical and strategic value to the appropriate user groups
• Build and own excellent relationships with residential energy senior management and British Gas executive management and act as ambassador for the function, Incorporating regular workshops to inform on strategic landscape.

Requirements / Skills:

• Proven track record of successful liaison and communication with senior/executive management
• High degree of energy, resilience, confidence, self-awareness and willingness to drive for results - often at short notice.
• Strong understanding of the residential energy/utilities industry
• Proven ability to independently conduct strategy projects for extended periods of time with minimal guidance
• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills using advanced statistical and modelling techniques
• Excellent facility with strategic decision making, frameworks, and concepts
• Established experience within a top-tier management consultancy, the strategy team of an energy related company
• Exceptional academics at under and post-graduate level in business, finance, or economics - e.g. MBA or finance qualification
