During Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals Annual Conference 2009 in Chicago, Prof Craig Fleisher received the Meritorious Award.
Each year Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals recognizes up to one individual who has made significant and meritorious contributions to the Competitive Intelligence profession. The Meritorious Award is the highest honour bestowed by the Society.
Dr. Fleisher’s long-standing contributions to the Competitive Intelligence field and the Society of Competitive Intelligence were honoured in the award ceremony on April 24th 2009 :
Dr. Craig S. Fleisher has authored several essential Competitive Intelligence books including the Financial Times Guide to Analysis (FT Press, 2007, w/Babette Bensoussan), Competitive Intelligence and Global Business (Preager, 2005, w/Dr. David Blenkhorn), Controversies in Competitive Intelligence (2003, Preaeger, w/Dr. David Blenkhorn) and Strategic and Competitive Analysis (Pearson, 2003 W/Babette Bensoussan, plus over half a dozen translations), among others. A former Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals president (2006), he originated (2004) and was inaugural chair (2005) of the Competitive Intelligence Foundation, and founding co–Editor (w/ Dr. John Prescott) of the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management. His Ph.D. in Business is from the Katz Graduate School of Business (Pittsburgh), MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, and BSBA in Finance, Insurance and Real Estate was from the University of Florida. He is currently the Windsor Research leadership Chair and Professor of Management (International, Strategy & Entrepreneurship) at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. A dual Canadian – US citizen and internationally – focused academic who has instructed in over three dozen countries, he has held positions including endowed research chair, MBA director, dean, and Professor at a variety of universities. Incoming (2009) Chair of Business and Public Affairs at the College of Coastal Georgia, Craig is Docent in Business Information Management at Tampere University of Technology (FIN) and associated with faculties at Leicester Business School (UK) and Lugano (SUI), among others.
