Sharepoint as a Competitive Intelligence Software - two recent articles published Print E-mail
Thursday, 30 April 2009 10:01

ImageCertainly MicroSoft’s Sharepoint has developed over recent years into a powerful tool for collaboration. As Competitive Intelligence communities seek these backbone functions for exchange of documents, discussion forums or information portals, many Competitive Intelligence departments have looked into or even implemented MS Sharepoint based Competitive Intelligence portals. Even MS’s official website showcases a neat looking Competitive Intelligence Portal.

Two recent articles, both worthwhile reading, assess MS Sharepoint from a user perspective: Fumsi, a Freepint newsletter featured an article called

"Information Architecture: Why SharePoint 2007 Needs It"

Cipher Systems published a White Paper “Can SharePoint 2007 Be Used To Assist Competitive Intelligence?”
Both articles are complementary, in case of the Cipher article an email request should be send via Cipher's website.
