Webcast: Is this the End of the Line for Competitive Intelligence?

In this webcast Chad Eng will point out that Competitive Intelligence is in need of a make-over and CI professionals need to leverage new technology to advance their daily work.

Many competitive intelligence practitioners have to justify their value to their leadership on a regular basis – which is becoming increasingly challenging. CI professionals are following a similar path seen by public libraries with the advent of Google in the 90’s – can CI evolve before it becomes irrelevant? CI practitioners have been using many of the same resources to perform their roles for decades, even if some sources have changed from print to electronic. CI professionals need to expand their thinking from incremental development and progress to monumental advances in our chosen field. We all need to be constantly scanning the technology horizon for tools and processes that can help the field make huge leaps in gathering and leveraging competitive intelligence.
