Webcast: European patent information as Linked Open Data

In this webcast Martin Kracker from the European Patent Office (EPO) highlights the business value of patent information and present this new, free data set based an emerging technology.

EPOPatent information contains business, technical and legal information and is used by many organisations for a wide range of purposes. EPO has created a new data set which contains bibliographic data of European Patents in Linked Data format (a.k.a. Semantic Web). This format greatly facilitates the combined retrieval with other patent or non-patent data sets also available as Linked Data.
